THE DIRECTORS
MARTIN REYNOLDS
Martin has nearly 30 years’ experience working in the printing and design industry – 26 of which have been spent at Solent Design Studio. The highlights of his day include ‘the people and customers I work with’ and he enjoys the fact that ‘every day is different’. He takes pride in overseeing projects from the outset and reveals two aspects to Solent Design Studio’s success: its high level of customer service, and the quick turnaround of projects. The fact the Studio is also a family business gives it a welcome edge.
CRAIG REYNOLDS
Drawing on his 25 years of experience in the world of ink and print, Craig says the highlights of his working day include ‘producing top quality work on our various machines, and showing people around the Studio and seeing their reaction to our in-house equipment’.
JACQUI REYNOLDS
The benefits of a family business for both employee and customer are highlighted by Jacqui, who says that ‘working with my brothers in a team environment’ as well as ‘long-standing suppliers and customers with whom we have a great working relationship’ are the most enjoyable aspects of her job. Having collaborated with her brothers for over 20 years, Jacqui is proud of all the projects she’s been involved in, but it makes her day when she receives calls ‘from customers saying ‘thank you’ for helping them out’.

With over 27 years of service and heading up the finishing department is TRUDY PARR. The quality of service is the key to Solent Design Studio’s success, which she says is ‘fast, efficient and friendly’. She’s proud of all the projects, and she says the team are ‘a good bunch of friendly people’.
JAMES BUSHELL currently works in the finishing department of the Studio. He has worked at the company for 24 years, with nearly 26 years’ experience in the printing industry. Though he enjoys each stage of the production process, the highlight is when he sees each project come to fruition, and he’s ‘sealing up the last box of a long job’.
One of the team responsible for keeping the machinery whirring is CHRIS SPRAKE. He has over 21 years experience as a printer, with his skills tailored to suit all project demands, and the highlight of his job is ‘aiming for perfection and hitting it’.
Graphic designer LORRAINE PROCTOR sums up the secret to Solent Design Studio’s success: ‘We’re friendly, helpful and treat every job – large or small – with the same importance.’ Having joined the company nearly 21 years ago, Lorraine still loves it when ‘customers thank me personally for the work I’ve done for them’.
Working in the finishing department and responsible for distribution is KEITH PROCTOR – who’s also Lorraine’s dad. He’s able to draw on over 41 years’ experience in the print-and-design industry, and he takes great satisfaction from ‘getting a job out on time’. But the secret to Solent Design Studio’s success? That would be the ‘happy smiling face of the delivery driver!’
